Set within a stunning waterfront environment in the dynamic and thriving Docklands, this exhibition centre required a reinforced concrete deck supported on piles over the water.

The project was for the design and construction of 370 No. large diameter bored cast-in-place marine piles 1200mm diameter and up to 50 metres deep.

The deck consisted of precast concrete beams and planks cast on site, topped out with an in-situ concrete slab. All concrete came from an on site batching plant and most of the piles were installed using piling machines supported on floating pontoons.
